'Holtermann's Gold'. Large-flowered. AROyeht. Of American origin (from Armstrong Nurseries) this rose was named by the Sydney Church of England Grammar School, one of New South Wales's leading schools, to celebrate its centenary in 1989; Bernhard Holtermann, who gave the school the land on which it stands, made his fortune in the Australian gold rushes. Appropriately, the rose is brilliant, unfading yellow, its blooms large, well formed and very well scented. The bush is of average height, with glossy green foliage and good resistance to black spot. ('Friesia' x 'Katherine Loker')x 'Gingersnap'. Repeat flowering. Fragrant.

Valerie Swane, Dural, NSW. New Introductions for 1992.
