Paeonia, 'Peony Heaven Yellow' hybrid herbaceous peony $ 55
 
Notable characteristics: Butter yellow single blooms are borne on strong stems. Large foliage hints at this plant's Paeonia daurica subsp. macrophylla heritage. An early blooming favorite of visitors to our garden. Blossoms are bee magnets. Readily sets seed.
Selected from a large group of seedings grown from plants originally received from hybridizer Chris Lanning in the early 1990s. We have been developing this plant for over a decade and finally have enough stock to offer it for sale. 

Cultivar group, hybridizer, year introduced: Hybrid, Cricket Hill Garden, to be registered in 2023.
Growth habit and size at maturity: Grows to 30" tall and 36" wide.
Flower form and size: Single, 5-7", borne on strong stems.
Flower fragrance: Lightly scented.
Bloom time: Early-season herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the third and fourth week of May.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.
Plant size: 4-5 'eyes' or buds with proportional roots.
