Courtesy of Biodiversity Heritage Library [In 1918; "Curtis' Botanical Magazine" admits that its description and picture of P. peregrina in 1807 (tab 1050) is erroneous and assigns this to P. monticola, Jordan, i.e. P. officinalis var, huthii. Hong De-Yuan, in his "Peonies of the World" (2000), however, states that tab 1050 refers to P. arietina.]
