I’ve bought three Marie Daly plants from three different sellers in the US, and not one of them looks like the pictures here. Two look very much like Marie Pavié, so I’m guessing they either reverted (is that possible?) or were mislabeled. The third is single-petaled. It’s a very nice shrub, thornless and bushy, but the flowers don’t have the same shape as Marie Pavié or my other two Marie Daly plants. Is it just me, or is it really hard to find an actual Marie Daly?

What an absolute oddball.

The unpopular colour, the usung, under the radar release, the unpopular climbing miniature class, the unpopular extreme thorniness, the fact no nurseries carry it presently, the fact that the last pictures and comments are from 2012-2015 (That's apparently 10+ years ago, crazy to say it...)

Based on all of this, does anyone grow this still or can this be assumed extinct?

This looks very nice indeed in the pics from April and Ashley. Might we hope for some pics here? A whole plant photo would be helpful.

Thank you. I had to order one back for myself, so hopefully I can accommodate in time.

I bred this one in 2015 and like so many, it has come and gone.

I never know which will make the grade and I have to keep making room for new roses.

You can thank Tom Carruth for selecting this one to be made available to the public.

These things take time!

Have you any thoughts about hardiness? And about how big Posh can be expected to grow in a cold climate? Can it be grown in heavy soils?

By parentage it should be good to about zone 5a.

W/out freeze damage I would expect 3-4 tall and wide.

It is being offered budded to Dr. Huey.

If Dr. Huey is good for you, it should be fine.

I've added the parentage to make it easier to estimate how it will perform for you.
