Does this rose have plenty of big, ample candy red thorns? I used to have an unIDed rose that I thought was Plum Perfect, but I discarded the possibility because of the supposed scent. Mine was entirely devoid of it.

Now that I'm reading several reports here that other people cannot smell it, I believe it might've indeed been PP after all.

I got moonstone today on a whim. The flowers are very large and globular with high centers. I am not one for soft tones but this one had some serious old world Shakespearian charm. What I dont see anyone talking about is the HUGE leaves that are stunning on their own. I was drawn to this over and over again for its leaves and the beautiful flowers being almost 2nd to them in why I got it. It makes a lovely shrub on its own. The outer petals seem to be a little rain beaten but again I think because the globe form and old world fee those tattered rain browned butter petals add to the charm. zone 7b

a workhorse rose that doest give up. I got this at home depot and in its first year it was a bush by season end. It was always pushing out sprays of flowers that transform for bright yellow to orange, red and magenta. it got hit bad with something one year and had a bad winter but after a little recovery got right back into bush mode. the forms are really cupped and frilly. a very cheery plant that holds up well in 7B with our hot humid summers.

Dolly is in my top 5 favorite roses. The flowers are a GLOWING lipstick red with neon orange undertones that shimmer in all the curves sunlight hits. It is so hard ot explain the color until you see it in person .The flowers are massive and once she gets going you'll seldom see her without one. She has a very strong sent I happen to love. It is a but spicy and heavy but it carries and for me a quite enjoyable. The bush form is not stunning but for me has not been bad. I have 2 after loosing one to a bad winter. I needed to have one in my garden and ended up splurging on 2. ZONE 7B. Gets some black spot but not drastic even when I dont do normal sprays.
