A rose comes home - Years ago a friend, now deceased, gave me a plant of the species Double Cinnamon Rose (r. Cinnamomea plena). It grew into a gorgeous shrub, covered in flowers and with red fall foliage. Unfortunately, I lost it with many other roses. I'd forgotten I gave a piece to a neighbor. He came by recently and said that plant had bloomed like crazy. I asked if I could see it. It still had some late blossoms on it, and yes, it was my rose. I brought home a sucker and some cuttings. They appear to be doing well. I'll post some photos if they take. If not, I know where to get more. I'm posting photos of that rose in the late 90s.
