Kaitaia: Grows well, blooms well. Northland: Love the colour, exhibition form, suffers from split centres though. Franklin: Healthy plant, attractive flower but sometimes can be shy of blooms. Some very perfect shaped HT blooms, otherwise centres split, reasonable repeat, some blackspot in the wet. Waikato: Not good in wet conditions as blooms ball. Short growing, flowers slow to open in spring, better in autumn, likes hot weather. Matamata: Can be a nice bloom but blooms can have split centres and slow repeat. Te Awamutu: Two year plant, two tone quite striking, many petals, exhibition type, very healthy. Bay of Plenty: Not a lot of flowers but steady supply over the season. Hastings: Beautiful flower colour and form with excellent repeat, very drought tolerant and healthy. Manawatu: Loves the warmth, can be a nice shape but often splits and flowers generally small, medium bush glossy foliage, healthy but some powdery mildew, stems shortish, blooms can look drab in cooler weather, thorny. South Canterbury: Strong grower, always covered in blooms. North Otago: Very healthy, lasts well when cut. Otago: Lovely foliage, blooms stunning, flowers late December.

(SOMirevan). This rose which is yet to be named is a real stunner! It is from an exceptional gene pool which includes Elina, Esmeralda and Paddy Stephens - all first class Hybrid Tea Roses in their own right. Blooms are creamy white with a narrow pink band at the very edge of the petal. High centred and very large, the numerous petals are packed tightly giving this rose an exceptional vase life, often two weeks or more. Flower production is exceptional for a rose of this size. Foliage is also a stunning deep shiny green with exceptional health. The bush is medium height and compact. With true Hybrid Teas becoming rare these days, this rose should be a winner. Due for release in 2012. Hybrid Tea. Creamy White with a narrow pink petal edge. High Centred true Hybrid Tea shape. Flower Size 130mm. Petal Count 40 plus. Height 1.2m. Habit Compact. Fragrance 1 - 2. Disease Resistance Very Good. Parentage ('Paddy Stephens' x 'Esmeralda') x 'Elina'. Year of Release 2012. Introducer Glenavon Roses Ltd

p77. ibid. 'Diamond Design' (SOMirevan). The cream to white blooms tinged with a pink edge appealed as one of the better HTs in this trial. It never seemed to be without a flower. The sturdy, bushy, medium size plants with a good number of thorns and dark glossy green foliage were generally healthy and the blooms withstood all types weather conditions. It is a worthy addition to the garden and possibly those interested in exhibiting.
