In her photo uploaded today, Margaret Furness has said "no obvious hips". On my one plant I have just one receptacle, but it is too early to say if it will or won't go on to make a hip. I would like to mark the file "sets no hips" but will not do so until more members contribute their thoughts. I note the only descendants are the climber and a sport.

I can't comment on whether it sets hips, but if not, it seems very much like a Tea-Hybrid Tea hybrid, probably triploid. The growth habit too sounds like this could be the case

The lady who allowed me to post her picture of Mrs Dunlop-Best yesterday routinely deadheads this bush, but will try and see if a few hips form, since I asked her about it.

This rose looks quite remarkable for the year it was introduced. I just grafted 2 'Columbia' from 1919, hoping to use it even further in my breeding program. Some of these oldies seem remarkably healthy for their introduction date. A lot of them are not, of course, but this rose here seems to be in the superior category :]
