Origin:

Bred by Frank A. Benardella (United States, 1987).

Class:

Miniature.

Bloom:

Lilac, white blending, lighter reverse. [Mauve or purple blend.] Strong, damask, opinions vary fragrance. 32 to 35 petals. Average diameter 1.75". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, reflexed bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, long, pointed buds.

Habit:

Medium, upright, well-branched. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.

Height: 15" to 20" (40 to 50cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Vigorous. benefits from winter protection in colder climates. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
