This is my first year with Bengal Tiger rose. I'm fascinated by the color changes it goes through: The buds are orange, and the flowers open a sherbet orange color. After a day or so, they change to a medium-light yellow. The yellow then begins to take on a reddish or coralish edge. Finally, the flowers end up mostly coral or brick red. So far, some of the stems are thin and weak, unable to hold up the weight of a single flower. I hope that will change with time. In the meantime, I snip those drooping flowers for my bud vase. Normally, roses either have a pleasant fragrance or no fragrance -- but I actually don't care for Bengal Tiger's fragrance.
