This is my first ever bloom of Typhoo Tea which is a dark pinkish coral with yellow reverse. The lovely fragrance is exceptionally long lasting.

I grew Typhoo Tea for many years up in Michigan. Its very very fragrant! Tall Blooms, nicely fringed leaves,, the flowers have a bright coral color with a silver reverse. I usually cut the flowers as they were starting to open so they would open in the house. Once they open outside, they would blow open fast.
Usually the bud would appear in clusters of 3 unless you disbud to get bigger flowers. I used to enter this in shows for the Detroit Rose Society and received a number of First Place Awards for it when I was a novice. If you can find it,, get it. I think the only place I know that has it, is Heirloom Roses.

2nd year own root after a late summer arrival/purchase. The scent on this one is insane. The foliage is amazing. GREAT blooms are tough to come by but there is nothing like this one.............
