Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) in 1963 as 'Vienna Charm'.
Introduced in Australia by T. G. Stewart in 1964 as 'Vienna Charm'.
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1964 as 'Charme de Vienne'.
Introduced in France by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1964 as 'Charme de Vienne'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1965 as 'Charming Vienna'.

Class:

Hybrid Tea.

Bloom:

Copper - orange. Mild fragrance. 27 to 35 petals. Average diameter 5.25". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered, open bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Pointed buds.

Habit:

Tall, upright. Medium, glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous.

Notes:

Mandy in Western Australia grows Vienna Charm in her garden. She says, This is a truly imposing creature. It has huge flowers. My rose has to be kept down to around 4 feet with secateurs on a regular basis.
