Victor Groshens, Jr. (1908 - 1996), nursery owner
[From The Florists' Review, April 6, 1922:] Victor Groshens, of Roslyn, Pa., possibly the most successful grower of the rose, Mrs. Charles Russell, in the east, saw what was described as "eye-openers.

One of Victor Groshens' great-grandchildren passes along this information: Victor Groshens was my great-grandfather; his nursery was located about 12 miles north of Center City Philadelphia, in suburb known as Glenside; in my understanding operations began around 1900 and continued through the 1930's. A partner in my law firm has a print of a rose variety with the name 'Victor Groshens' at top of document; I believe it is a patent document.
