I've enjoyed roses for a long time, and started breeding them in year 2000. I enjoy looking out for rarer roses, although my space is limited. I am not too far away from the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden and frequently go there when I get a chance. I am breeding for roses that are thornless, and easy to grow. I primarily use '77-361' as a pollen parent, and use miniature roses as seed parents. 'Sutter's Gold' and 'Orange Ruffels' are my favorite seed parents. I hope to introduce my first roses within 2005-2006.
The camera I use is the Sony F707. It is a very good camera, but reds are over saturated. 'Cesar E. Chavez' is my only red rose pic for the mean while.
