This thing is a black spot nightmare here in Florida zone 9b. It’s always defoliated at this point. I’m about to try the suggestion of NCbeach and try revitalize. I’ve been spraying with the usual copper fungicide and a few others in rotation, but it’s not helped much. The blooms smell heavenly and are beautiful, but don’t last long at all. At this point, it’s likely on the chopping block unless the revitalize works.

This is a beautiful rose and is growing quickly, but has been susceptible to black spot here in Florida zone 9b. It’s currently missing half of its foliage and looks ridiculously leggy. The blooms make up for it, though.

Not an easy rose to love. It’s very susceptible to black spot here in Florida zone 9b. It’ll lose all leaves and then every time they finally grow back, another round takes them all. I’m spraying and finally switched to using powdered sulfer. That seems to be helping. For now. It’s also extremely pink in the heat. It doesn’t even look like Tropicana over 90 degrees. When it was in the 80’s it was a lovely coral color. If I don’t get rid of it, I guess we’ll see how it looks in the fall.

This has been an easy rose for me minus a little powdery mildew. After a few treatments, it’s not come back yet. I find that mine does fade, even though the label claimed it was non fading. Mine came from Star Nursery and sold by Ace Hardware.
