This is my first flush of blooms from White Lies. So far, so good. I must note that it is not supposed to have any fragrance. All of my blooms (over 25 of them) have a strong scent that smells like fresh peaches. What a welcome surprise.

Is this a seedling of 'Double Delight'?

The breeder often just uses selections of whatever x whatever, iirc.

My guess is that he used 'Mon Cheri' (seedling of 'Double Delight') frequently. The boxy foliage, and then the flower color and form, is very much akin to 'Mon Cheri', except in 'Double Delight' colors on smaller plant.

It is an excellent disease resistant, prolific bloomer, and a wonderful fragrance. It has been exceptional in the Carter Center Rose Garden for the last few years. It's a no-spray garden, using only organic fertilizers. It is a true pleasure to grow and enjoy.

This dwarf rose grows to only 18 inches tall, and covers itself all season long with large clusters of lightly scented vibrant pink flowers. The color, look, ease to care for...this rose should be more readily available and in garden centers everywhere!

I just got a cutting of it from a garden that will be replaced this spring. Hopefully it grows as it has done there for the last 30 years.
