I'm very impressed with your Munstead Wood's color and many petals. How did you fertilizer that? The rose park nearby has Munstead Wood (grafted on Dr.Huey) and theirs is smaller bloom. My Munstead Wood is own-root and the blooms is small too. Thanks for info. on fertilization & type of soil used.

Hi, mine is not that large either. It just appears so from the way I took the photo. They average 8 to 9cm only. Regarding fertilizing, I prepared my garden soil with cow manure and compost a month before planting. It is a first year grafted bare rooted bush. Once there was sign of growth I gave it some pelletised chicken manure (dynamic lifter) and some acidic rose/gardenia/camellia food (Richgro). I'm new to roses and have just followed what was recommended by rose websites. Hope that helps.

I measured my first Golden Celebration bloom for the season (1st year bush) and it measured at 5" or 13cm. This was the first one to bloom in a cluster of 3, didn't expect it to be so big especially in a cluster.
