HMF has a listing among GARDENS for "Royal Roads University" and another garden listing for "Hatley Park," which is a Canadian National Historic Site. The University surrounds Hatley Park (also called Hatley Castle).
The picture of rose garden sign from my recent visit, posted under Hatley Park, shows the logos of both the Park and the University
I am thinking perhaps these two garden listings should be combined.

Yellow Butterfly repeated all throughout the season for me here in Walla Walla, Washington. The big leaves are also very interesting.

I think that Scabrosa has single flowers and not double as on this photo. But a beautiful rose is pictured.

This rose was labeled as "Scabrosa (Rugosa Hybrid Rose)" on a plaque right under it. Maybe the Master Gardeners there mis-identified it?

Good job, that You checked the label! The colour matches and that it is a Rugosa! When photographing roses, it is a good habit, to photograph both rose and label/name-tag. Or some people exchanged the labels as a kind of a prank. However still there is the possibility, that this is a sport... or a wrong delivery. And... Thank You for uploading all the beautiful photo's You did lately!

Yes, I agree--I photograph the rose and then the marker--not like the old days of 36 shots on film!
There were a couple of dubious rose identifications in this garden. For example Ingrid Bergman, who was beautiful, but was a bi-color! Not the red, red Bergman I am familiar with.
