I love growing things--roses, perennials, plants of all kinds. It's a love that dates back to my earliest memories. Or maybe it's just a manifestation of my German/Czech/English/Dutch heritage...

I have planted gardens in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Mexico--and then had to leave them behind. This is not easy, I relate to others who express disappointment at having to leave roses behind!

I live on the high plains of West Texas now. Gardening as always, I have changed the bare yard I inherited, gracing it with a pond and more than 50 roses, as well as plants and trees.

I enjoy learning new things, and I am passionate about creating beauty around me.
