How does one contact 'Carlton's' for Simsalabim? Your msg was posted on or about 2003. Were you successful in getting this rose? I'd like to have it in my garden, too. Please let me hear from you! Thanks,
luvroses

Sorry, Carlton's has been out of business for at least five years. I don't think anyone is selling that rose commercially anymore.

I believe we will have these roses at the rare rose auction for California Coastal Rose Society next fall. I can guarantee you there is no commercial source for Simsalabim in the U.S. You will not find it at ANY nursery, which is why we take cuttings and root them to sell at the auction.

I am so sorry.. Carltons is no longer in business. There has not been anyone to take their place. :(
I do miss their roses.

my Hocus Pocus did not survive the move from Virginia to Texas... so alas I no longer have this rose.

Hi Deborah,
Do you have any photos yet? I have a very small cutting that is only 3 in. tall at the moment. I don't think it will bloom this year. I have taken cuttings with some success. This one is the only survivor of a 2 dozen rose bouquet I had bought from Costco.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Desiree

Doe anyone have a valid phone number for Carlton? The number on this webpage is a fax number. I called 411 and the number they gave me sounds like a personal residence. The other phone number I found on the web is disconnected. Eeks!

I purchased mine from Carlton Roses

Address:
242 Corralitos Rd.
PO Box 1210
Freedom, CA 95019

Phone: (831) 728-8495
Fax: (831) 728-8492
Email : ROSESCAPE@aol.com

Their website is still down (5/11/2004) but they are taking orders over the phone. I had heard they were currently sold out of Hocus Pocus (KORpocus). Sometimes they have more ready later in the season....you just have to keep calling them back periodically and checking.

Abracadabra is another Kordes rose red with stripes... similar to Hocus Pocus but different. I also have this rose and will post pictures as soon as it blooms this season.
