June 6 issue of SFO Chronicle, gardne section, talks about this 2010 winner! The photo in the newspaper resembles NEW DAY with its lighter edges. Claims that this new yellow rose if a 'must have' for every rose garden.

I am not sure about "must have". I think it'd make a nice yellow for pot culture though, due to its very compact nature as a floribunda. It'd get lost in a bed with other floribundas. It'd also make a nice rose for masking a sharp-edged garden corner due to its short height and roundness.

If you see my new pictures I just uploaded, it's not exactly compact. Of course it may be depending on where one lives, in warmer zones like Calif., things tend to get bigger than registered it seems.

Aug 2010 HONEY PERFUME was in full bloom on the norCAL coast in HalfMoonBay ! The bush is short with matte-green leaves similar to ICEBERG. The amber color contrasts w/these leaves nicely! It is a combination of 'subtlety'; NorCAL people who grow this rose say it tends to remain stunted, & can be stingey with its blooms . . .

May 2010 "The CHARLATAN" is available at Pastorino's Nursery on the Coast in HalfMoonBay, CA. It was in full bloom & quite charming with the red stamens! The ivory petals have a tinge of violet coloring.

I've seen this rose at two other Bay Area nurseries. Someone seems to have grown a number of these in 5-gallon pots for sales as a landscape shrub. The Charlatan is described as being rust resistant. In coastal California, that will soon be put to the test! The plants I've seen in the nurseries have looked very healthy indeed, with shiny, attractive foliage.
