Isn't this rose supposed to be a moss? There is no moss on the rose you photographed here.

Nevermind --- the description in the HMF is wrong - it is not a moss, but rather a Centifolia and a shrub. But not a moss. See the references section.

Please see Modern Roses. The Registered Class is listed as a Moss, presumably based on the Moss parentage of the seed parent, Louis Gimard, and on the the once-blooming qualities of this plant.

hmmm. I don't have Mod Roses XII. The Mod Roses X that is in the references section of this variety says "shrub."
