I´m interested in doing crossings. A great job is done all over the world, all the time, by a lot of people, private or in companies.
A reason why I should spend time doing it, besides the fun, is that I have an other goal. I´m not heading for great, large blooms in spectacular colours... I would like to see more of specie-like roses, strong, very hardy and hopefully disease free - with a long blooming period, a little larger flowers than the species and with a good and complex smell.
And sometimes I just try to mix two roses I like - Just because it´s exciting!
