I am an amateur gardener living in Wrightwood, California. WW is 6,000 feet up in the San Gabriel Mountains of San Bernardino County, Southern California.

I also have a home in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, 90 minutes from here.

I enjoy gardening and have perhaps three dozen different types of roses between up here and down there. The climates are, of course, totally different.

I also enjoy growing clematis vines and have about a dozen different types.

I have three or four peonies up here in the mountains; although I finally had great success with ONE of them this past 2008 year, I am still mostly floundering about with them... the poor things!

I take a lot of photographs of my plants. When I figure out how to do it, I will begin uploading some of them here, along with my comments.

I just bought and planted a dozen new roses for here and there...

I am also trying clematis Belle of Woking and Jacksonii in the SFV this year...

I hope to get back on here with what I find out about them this Spring, Summer, Fall.

Thank Goodness I am retired, because I have NEVER worked so hard as a medical transcriptionist, paralegal, car saleslady or musician's roadie!
