This flower looks as though it could be Grand Huit, but it is labelled "Lasting Love", which has been posted by Mr. Rick Mallett.
I look forward to your ideas. Many kind thanks.

Grand Huit and Lasting Love are the same rose, which just goes by different names in differing countries, usually for ease of marketing.

some roses are quite red here, even the german nursery where i bought my plant »corrected« the photo of their flowers into a dark-red with no slight blue or violet tint. but my roses almost never got direct sun and the plant itself is quite freshly planted, but i don’t believe this would add or eliminate the purple colour as a whole. the controversy never stops!

Just a question here. How did you get this site to post a picture in the comment? When I try to do that, the whole post gets rejected.

Kathy, you have to post the comment first. Then you will see a new button “Add Photo” by your comment, when you look at it from your account posts.

That button is not there anymore. Used to have it, but it went away sometime earlier this year. Which is why I was surprised to see that it worked for somebody else now.

The button is still there, but not in the Q&A listing, which only has the Reply button. You need to go to your Member listing, open the tab Comments, click the respective post, and there you will find the Edit button. The change must have happened in one of the recent upgrades.

Aaargh! RVR sent me Dr. Huey as a “mystery” rose.

I hope the rest of what you received was what you did order.

Nope! I bought one called Heideroslein, which is supposed to be light pink, and it just popped a first bloom which is red!

I hope RVV will send you the correct one. It is very pretty in the pix here. I don't understand why HMF has the color as "yellow blend".

And they also messed up my order with a rose called Little Butch. It is supposed to be russet. What they sent to me bloomed red. And they will not answer my emails regarding receiving the wrong wroses.

The US patent application (12/923,828) was abandoned 12/26/2013. The application lists Alain A. Meilland as the inventor. The application, and all current ARS publications of which I am aware, say the rose is a floribunda.
