p29. John Jack. Queensland. John Jack was a third-generation rose nurseryman at Rochedale, Queensland and also at Mount Gravatt south of Brisbane. He was forced to retire from the family nursery business due to the effects of polonged use of pesticides upon his health. He now lives in retirement on the Gold Coast. His son Peter has now perfected an organic, non hazardous culture for roses.
