[From Bulletin mensuel de la Société Nationale d'Horticulture de France, 1939, p. 121:] La Société d'Horticulture d'Angers et du département ds Maine-et- Loire, soucieuse d'honorer la mémoire de son ancien vice-président, Gaston Allard, créateur de l'Arborétum de la Maulèverie, à Angers, a décidé de lui élever un buste.
