.p. 3:...Jäg har ette faktum, som synes ha sin enda möjliga förklaring i antagandet, att även Rosæ gallicæ nått Östersjöns  kuster under litorinatidens varma period — ett ingalunda orimligt antagande, då de i vår tid ännu vid Erfurt finnas spontant växande, och Gunnar Andersson uppvisat, att klimatförsamringen sänkt medeltemperaturen för september, även rosornas kritiska månad, 2° C. Detta faktum är upptäckten av min nyss beskrivna R. suionum, Wahlenbergii-typens representant av gr. Gallicæ. Wahlenbergii-typen har, som nyss sades, sitt avgjorda maximum i Sverige, närmare bestämt i Stockholms skärgård..... och endast i detta typens maximum- område kan typens Gallicæ-representant tänkas ha levat, — i alla besläktade typer äro representanter av gr. Gallicce antingen ej funna eller endast kända som odlade, alla visande på östern som sitt hemland.  Också odlingsförhållandena peka märkvärdigt nog på Upplandskusten som ursprung för denna egendomliga art, alltid med enkla blommor och alltid vitblommig, sådan knappt någon annan är känd, varken odlad eller vilt växande. G. Bladini fann den överallt i trakten av Sätra brunn i östra Västmanland såsom gammal odlingsväxt, överallt med den också av gammalt odlade R. francofurtana; i samma sällskap fann Ringselle den i Roslagen, Väddö s:n, liksom den finns i Hort. Berg. bland de av gammalt odlade rosorna.

Translation:
I have a fact, which seems to be the only possible explanation is the assumption that even Gallica-Roses reached the shores of the Baltic Sea during the warm Litorina period - a by no means unreasonable assumption, as in our times in Erfurt it is spontaneously increasing, and Gunnar Anderson has shown that climate deterioration lowered the average temperature for September, the critical month for roses, by 2^o C. This fact is the discovery of my newly described R. suionum, the Wahlenbergii-type representative of the Gallica group. The Wahlenbergii-type, as was recently said, its decided maximum in Sweden, more specifically in the Stockholm archipelago...and only in this type's maximum area can the type-representative of Gallicas have lived - all related type representatives of the Gallicas were either not found or are known only as cultivated, all pointing to the East as its homeland. Also the cultivation conditions point markedly enough on the Uppland coast as the origin of this own- deciduous species, always with simple flowers and always white-flowered, hardly any else is known, neither cultivated nor wild growing. G. Bladini found it everywhere in the district of Sätra well in eastern Västmanland asan old cultivation plant, overall with the also of old cultivated R. francofurtana; in same company Ringselle found it in Roslagen, Väddö s: just as it is in Hort. Berg. among those of old cultivated roses.
