The Wonderful New Rose ‘Black Boy’. The darkest climbing rose ever offered. Magnificent grower. Mildew proof, sweetly scented. Deep crimson, shaded blackish maroon. A limited number available. Book orders at once with E. & W. Hackett Ltd., Rundle Street, or with Secretary H. & F society, Mr. J. W. Gordon, c/- G. T. Manager’s Office, Railway Station, North Terrace, or Secretary, National Rose Society, Mr. C. H. A. [illegible ?] Lienan, Victoria Avenue, Unley Park. All plants dwarf worked 3/6 each. All profits from the sale of this Rose are to be devoted to the funds of the S.A. Horticultural society and the National Rose Society of S.A., to whom the rose was presented by Alister Clark, Esq., of Victoria. Every genuine ‘Black Boy’ will bear the official label of the two societies mentioned above.
