Miss Trechslin's choice fell on a rose with vigorous growth, healthy foliage and a fascinating colouring. This hopeful new cultivar pleases the rose lover with its great floriferousness and magnificent fragrance.
Anne Marie Trechslin has painted this rose, which should now carry her name in her honour to many gardens and through many years, with special love for Silva's friends. This beautiful picture is added to each volume of "Rosen II" and is intended for framing.

Carina (H.T., Meilland 1963) - A beautiful, large rose with a diameter of 12 to 14 centimetres, 45 to 50 petals and a perfect bloom form. Carina is a variety which is suitable both for the garden as well as for the production of cut flowers. She was awarded with the First Prize for Novelties in Genova in 1966.
