Dear esteemed members of HMF,
In this occasion I would like to contact you regarding HT ‘Chantré´ (R. Kordes 1958). It was one of the roses grown by my grandfather in his collection, and until 2010 or so, I could not find even a single picture of it. It was when some colleagues in the Budatétény Rose Garden (Budapest, Hungary) who finally help me with a good number of pictures that matched quite good with the description, but I still would like to get some more information regarding this Kordes HT.
There is a Reference in HMF ‘Chantré’ Page, referring CHARLES NEWMAN & CO. (482 Guildford Road, Bayswater, W.A., Australia.) Do anyone know if there is a way to contact someone there-assuming it still exists-who can provide me some information (picture, description, etc.) regarding ‘Chantré’??? Like Argentina, it seems to be quite a good number of common roses in Australia and maybe this also occurs with ‘Chantré’. Needless to say it would be of a great help. Sending my warmest regards from a rainy summer evening in BA.
Mariano Saviello (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
