Mr J.B. Wood's Rose display was pleasing. Of particular interest was the new Rose ‘John Cronin,’ donated by Mr Alister Clark, of the Cronin Memorial Horticultural Scholarship Committee, to assist in raising funds for this scholarship. This Rose is red, fragrant, and free blooming. Mr. Wood stated that amongst 50,000 Roses it stood up best, and was the freshest during the recent hot spell.
