I am looking for Amélie Gravereaux rose. If anyone knows of a source I would appreciate it.

Looking over this garden's rose list, it seems odd that they should have 83 roses which start with the letter A, and only 38 that start with other letters. Unless they've removed a lot of roses lately, I'd been expecting much more than 121. Am I safe in assuming that the listing for this garden is incomplete?

Yes, that does seem rather odd. We'll have to see what we can find out. Thanks for taking the time to contact us about this.

Was anything found? This garden is nearby and I'd love to visit but I really want to know if they have specific roses from my list so I can see how they are doing.

Descanso removed many of their roses, sometimes entire beds. The last report I heard was what was used as replacements were commercially available modern types. There may have been changes in the past year or so, I don't know. I don't think I would go expecting the old plantings of OGRs and roses by country of origin. Perhaps it's worth a visit so you can report your findings?

Oh jeez. That sounds sad. It's pretty close and they have a tram my boys would love so I can likely get over there. I'll see if I can talk them in to a visit and will comment when I do.
