This is probably the most accurate color representation of 'Ebb Tide' I have seen. The color in person is eerie and yet, beautiful. The scent... WOW!

Thank you, Jeffrey! Not the easiest color to take photo of? Isn't it?

Not easy at all. You got it just right. I have this rose now... It will bloom for me for the first time this season. I can't wait!
How does this rose do for you? Meaning, size of plant, health, repeat bloom? Do you have any shots of the plant?

Jeffrey, I actually have three bushes of Ebb Tide but they are all young roses - planted last year. I had one before, but it's got mowed over by a hired helper. Unfortunately, I am of no help for you. What I know for sure is that it fades badly, I wish I could find a spot with afternoon shade. Alas....

I lucked out, then. My garden gets morning sun, then bright sky, but no sun in the afternoon. Plus, I'm on a hill that faces east looking towards Oakland (I'm in San Francisco). The climate is very mild here. My rose is still in a 7-gallon pot, too, so I can move it if the need arises.
Eventually, I'll take some cuttings so I can replace my grafted rose with an own-root version... I don't have a helper to damage my roses... I have to do that all by myself...

No rust, Jeffrey? That's the big problem here with many HT's, why the number in the ground is...one, and it's rusted like an old nail because I didn't strip the foliage and we have a mild winter. I have a garden of Carruth Blue roses, but this one is missing. I got mad when Wild Blue Yonder ended up pink and nothing but pink year round.

I have rust in the earliest spring due to our usual cool, wet weather... I seldom have black spot... My garden in Dallas, TX was just the opposite... The susceptible roses were totally defoliate by the end of summer unless I sprayed regularly... I did manage it by meticulous watering, but it was a problem...
I get balling here in early spring. In Texas, I had to look it up...
Pink Wild Blue?! Was it possibly mislabeled?
I love blue roses... I had a few myself. My current affliction has to do with tan roses... JACtan, Honey Dijon... I noted that many tan roses have orange and mauve parents... I want to try crossing Egg Tide with something orange like Livin' Easy or something like America...
