I believe I have this rose, until now unidentified. A question: does it have a sticky, piney secretion behind the flower? No-one ever mentions details like this, but Charles de Mills has it too. Some books describe Ipsilanté as having reddish thorns and dark, abundant foliage, but on my plant the new foliage is light green, darkening later in the season.
