I don’t know what this rose is, but my best guess might be ‘Aviateur Bleriot’. We would need more photos. It is not the ‘Adélaide d'Orléans’ (hybrid sempervirens, Jacques, 1825) or even "Adélaide d'Orléans (in commerce as)".

Can anyone help with the identification of this rose please.

Hi Patricia, I have come across some old notes I had written down about this rose and hope it may be of use in identification. It is of a flower Apricot in colour fading to white, leaving only a hint of light pink / apricot. Steve also looked at this rose and suggested that it may be Aviateur Bleriot, although he wasn't 100% sure. Looking up this rose Johno's photo of flower and bud look similar. With thanks.

A pleasure Nadene. It is rare that a public garden is taking the efforts you are going to to display correcture nomenclature. I, for one, really appreciate what you are doing. Deborah needs to rename and reassign her photo to ‘Aviateur Bleriot’.
