Name ´Erinnerung an Brod´ suggest Geschwind´s reside on his work place in Brod, near Žarnovica, Slovakia today, where he worked as a forester (1859 - 67). This period is issued his book - Hybridization of forest trees (Hybridation der Forstgehölze). He hybridized there the Sessile Oak (Quercus petrea) x the English Oak (Quercus robur), too.
