I also love our misty mornings :-) Viewing the sunrise softened by the mist is often spectacular but sadly I've been unable to capture the colors with my camera... Maybe one day!

I think you are doing fine. One of the problems with a digital camera is that some colours seldom come out right, for some reason or other, which so far has eluded me. Unfortunately I am not an early riser, but it happens that I set the alarm clock just to be able to enjoy an early summer morning with the fresh morning air and lovely birdsong.
