Have you contacted Mistydowns? They sold the rose in the past and might be able to grow one for you. 2301 Midland Hwy Creswick, Victoria 3363 Australia 03 5345 2847

Mistydowns is under new ownership and currently offers a vastly reduced range, but we hope they still have the stock plants. if you don't have any joy with Mistydowns, I think it would be worth asking Ross Roses to bud it for you, if they have a stock plant.

If that is not successful, ask the Heritage Roses in Australia (South Australian region) if they can find Wendy Langton for you. She grew it in Tasmania and although moved back to South Australia I believe, there is the possibility she still grows it. She wrote of it in the Heritage Roses in Australia journal 30-3-8.
Then Steve Beck of the NSW nursery Roses and Friends wrote in the Heritage Roses in Australia journal 39-3-48, a paragraph on Sidonie and supplied the photo of it for the back cover. He is sure to have it. (Tell him he should update his list of roses for sale on HelpMeFind!)

Hi Sally, Yes the above answers to your question are correct. Sidonea rose may be able to be obtained from : Ross Roses, Mistydowns ('The Garden Trough' new name) or Thomas For Roses. All of these nurseries have various old rose varieties, altering their lists from year to year, but they may be able to grow it for you via an order using their bud-wood.
Good luck.

I haven’t tried Ross Roses yet, so will give them a call. I’ve spoken to some very helpful people. One gentleman has one plant growing in his garden and he has offered to send me a cutting so that might be my only option. Thanks again, the responses have been so helpful. Sally

Hello, I have recently moved to Australia and would love to find the Sidonie Rose to plant in my garden. My daughters name is Sidonie Rose! I had this variety growing in my garden in England and loved it so much for its abundant petals and beautiful perfume. Would you happen to know if it’s available commercially in Australia? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Sally
