This was brand-new for me this year.....so unfortunately I cannot say whether 'Vineyard Song' will be hardy (or not) here in zone 4b just yet. I do grow many roses which aren't rated as hardy here and every spring after cutting back winterkill I am left with just a few inches of plant. That being said, most roses, if healthy, rebound quickly and will become a decent size and will bloom nicely. I always plant the graft down deeply but I no longer am a slave to winter protection. I have way too many roses now! Its 'survival of the fittest' out there.
I am always adding new roses each year.....sorry I couldn't give a 'hardiness' report on this one.

Thanks. I'll be surprised if it manages in Zone 4b. Keep us posted.

I wanted to give an update on this rose's winter hardiness for me after its first winter here in zone 4b. Granted, this past winter was on the 'mild' side for us.....more like a zone 5 winter....but with no winter protection other than mulch at the base of the plant it survived fine with only minimal (tip) dieback. I was expecting more dieback because we didn't have our usual snow cover and the plant was exposed most of the winter. It did just fine. Celeste
