This is the only photo of 'Elie Beauvilain' where I can recognize the veining as in the early descriptions. Is this the same plant as in your other pictures? And what provenance was it?

Yes, it's the same plant, different weather conditions. The source is Sequoia Nursery.
It's a beautiful thing but subject to Powdery Mildew in Spring this climate. Robert
