Trevor Nottle describes his plant as reaching 1.75m in 3 years. Mine was less than a metre after 2 years, and I dug it out at that stage (can't waste water on something that doesn't open its flowers). Both gardens in zone 9b. The nursery which sells it in Australia doesn't list it as a climber.
