'La Constance' rose Description

Centifolia, Damask, Hybrid Gallica.
Bloom:
Light pink, blush outer petals, rose-pink center. Very large, full (26-40 petals), expanded , flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Arching, armed with thorns / prickles, spreading, well-branched. Large foliage.

Notes:
Probably dedicated to Beatrix de Choiseul-Stainville (1730 Lunéville - April 17, 1794 Paris), Duchesse de Gramont, who died on the guillotine. She was portraited by Alexander Roslin.
Alternative is Marie-Gabrielle de Sinéty (1760 - April 24, 1832 Château de Caderousse), who married André Joseph Hippolyte de Gramont-Vacheres, Duc de Gramont-Caderousse in February 1779. Her Portrait was painted by Vigée le Brun.
