Rosa pimpinellifolia....  Interessant ist ferner die Abart, wo Stacheln und Borsten an der Pflanze rasch verschwinden. Diese ist es, welche gewöhnlich in den Gärten als Rosa mitis, von Gmelin aber als mitissima (fl. bad. IV, 358) bezeichnet wird; ich habe sie aber ebenfalls im Oriente wild beobachtet. Graf Sternberg fand sie dagegen in Istrien und beschrieb sie als R. affinis (Flor. IX, Beil. 80). Mit Unrecht wird diese Pflanze in Koch's Synopsis rothblühend angegeben.

Rosa pimpinellifolia ...Also interesting is the variety whereprickless and bristles quickly disappear on the plant. This is what is usually referred to in gardens as Rosa mitis, but by Gmelin as mitissima (Fl. Bad. IV, 358); But I have also observed them wild in the Orient. Count Sternberg, on the other hand, found it in Istria and described it as R. affinis (Flor. IX, Supplement 80). In Koch's Synopsis this plant is incorrectly described as having red flowers.
