Rose photo courtesy of Usami 'Brown Sugar', which is more commonly sold as a bouquet rose is a surprisingly great garden plant. Glossy, dark foliage, stout canes. Wonderful bloom colour. Unmatched, really. Unlike a lot of other russets that will come up a gnarly fluorescent orange with unfavorable weather, Brown Sugar is much more consistently smokey, deep, and rusty. Fair health. Good vigor. Blooms are not fussy and don't come up all gnarly and distorted like many other florist varieties would outside of a carefully controlled greenhouse.
