'Don Nilo ®' rose Description

Bloom:
Yellow, salmon-yellow edges, pink undertones. Mild fragrance. up to 50 petals. Average diameter 6". Very large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns. Large, semi-glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.
Height: 32" to 4'11" (80 to 150cm). Width: 2' to 28" (60 to 70cm).
Growing:
Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous.

Notes:
Named in honour of Don Nilo Sánchez, a great rosarian from Argentina of Spanish origin who settled down in Necochea (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and designed the first and one of the most beautiful rose gardens specialized in Pernetiana roses and early Hybrid Teas during the mid of the XX Century. Married with Velma A. Vitali Zubizarreta Eguren was the grandfather and rose mentor of Mariano R. Saviello, an Argentinean rose grower specialized, as well, in Hybrid Tea roses.
