C. Duke of Richmond, Jackman. — Diese Varietät gehört zur späten Lanuginosa-Gruppe, wächst leicht und hat dreizählige Blätter mit kurz ovalen, länglich zugespitzten Blättchen, die sich nach der Basis leicht verjüngen.  Die Blumen sind zart gefärbt, sehr blass, jedoch glänzend lavendelgrau, mit einem Anfluge von Malvenfarbe, öfters dunkler in der Mittelnaht; sie sind gross, 21 cm im Durchmesser, 6- bis 8 sepalig; die Sepalen sind breit, spitzig oval und überdecken sich leicht; Staubfäden weiss mit blass weissliehbraunen Staubbeuteln.  Die Pflanze ist aus der Kreuzung von C. lanuginosa und C. lanuginosa nivea entstanden; unter Fenster gezogen blüht sie fast wie Lawsoniana. C. Mrs. Cholmondeley ist sehr ähnlich.  Juli bis October.  Prämiirt 1873.

C. Duke of Richmond, Jackman. — This variety is of the late-blooming lanuginosa group, grows readily, and has trifoliate leaves with oblong, pointed leaflets that look less mature towards the base.  The delicately hued flowers are a very pale but  lustrous lavender-gray with a hint of mauve; the bars are often darker; they are large- 21 centimeters in diameter- with 6-8 sepals; the sepals are broad, oval with pointed tips, and overlap somewhat.  The stamens are white with light brown anthers.  This variety is the result of a cross between C. lanuginosa and C. lanuginosa nivea.  Grown under glass it almost blooms like Lawsoniana. It is very like C. Mrs Cholmondeley.  It blooms from July to October, and was awarded a prize in 1873.
