Americana is also listed in Loddiges' catalogue for 1818

I was mistaken. Loddiges' 1818 catalog has Rosa americana, not Rosa odorata americana. The latter is not in the 1823 catalog, either. 1826 is the earliest Loddiges catalog I have found that lists "Odorata Americana"

No wonder you were confused. Me too. To make it clearer, I have added a class, breeder and date to Prince's rose, so we now have:
American White (hyb rubiginosa, Prince c1840)
Americana (tea, unknown before 1818)
So, before I go any further, I will pre-check with you.
Americana (tea, unknown before 1826)..... date to be changed from 1818 to 1826 ?
The 1818 reference to be deleted from this file and added to
Rosa americana Waitz ex Link ?

I don't know about the "hyb rubiginosa". Prince listed 'American White' with the reblooming Tea scented roses.
Americana was apparently Tea-scented, but may have been of Noisette lineage. The date, however should be "before 1826".
Yes, the 1818 reference belongs to R. americana Waitz ex Link.
I'm still trying to find whether Prince ever mentioned 'Odorata Americana' and 'White American' at the same time. Or gave some indication that the Odorata Americana was also a climber.
