Bloom:
Scarlet, lighter reverse. Mild fragrance. up to 41 petals. Average diameter 3". Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, compact. Semi-glossy, medium green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm). Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer. Can be used for garden, landscape or specimen. Very hardy. vigorous. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant.

'AAC 576' originated from a cross conducted by Larry Dyck, an employee of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, at the Morden Research Station in Morden, Manitoba. The cross was made in 2001 between female parent variety 'Y8' and male parent variety 'Frontenac'. In the spring of 2002, one seedling was selected and planted in the rose seedling field at the Morden Research Centre, further evaluated in 2003 and designated as '21Y8FR04'. The cross and selections were performed in Manitoba, Canada. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) of the new variety was an unreleased and unpatented variety identified as `Y8`. The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) was the `Frontenac` variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 9,210).

The release date coincides with the 150th anniversary of the founding of Canada. This rose is entirely "Made in Canada." It was developed in Morden, Manitoba by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and is the first rose to be released by Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, which operates Canada’s rose breeding company.
