Delphine Lomas. (Obituary) Anna "Patty" Ewen.
It is not usual for a New Zealander to have a prize-winning rose named after them. But our long term Heritage Rose member, Patty, as we knew her did just that. This beautiful rose bred and named after her won the Best Perfumed award in Rome, Italy in 2014.....One of Patty's grandsons married an Italian girl and they live near Venice. They have a close friend who breeds roses. As Patty visited her grandson on several occasions this Italian rose breeder bred the award winning rose in memory of her visits.
